I did my own- used a newer design off a Nissan Cube-
Mounted mine on the outside of the firewall- the EAS says theirs mounts on the inside. I really don't think there is room. I spoke with a guy from EAS at IIRC Hotrod Power tour or a Summit Racing Motorama-
and he was not really knowledgeable on the C3. I have their literature and looked over the install PDF- but it doesn't show any pics of it in a C3 where the motor goes.
There's not a lot of room around the column?
And I'm a little baffled on where they are placing the motor? See pics
Has anyone installed the electric power steering conversion kit that is shown in the Ecklers catalog? Comments/advice?
You can buy it $25 cheaper right from EPAS. I installed their system on a 57' ****** pickup. I works great and their customer support is excellent. I received email answerers to my question on Sundays!

"knowing the size of the motor- can you see it fitting on the column inside the car?" That was my question too. I have a 454 with headers stuffed in the engine bay, so there is not much room there either. I like the idea that no power steering pump and hoses are needed and there is no parasitic drag to reduce rwhp, but will it fit?
If you go to the EPSP web site they have instructions with pictures on the install in a C2. I'd just give them a call and ask if there is fitment problems in a C3.
You might try contacting "Ididit" steering as well.
I contacted them a couple of years ago and they told me they were in the research and development stages of designing an electric steering system for C3 Corvettes.
They had a design out for C1-C2 at that time.
