I have a 1981 c3 I have a factory installed light behind the rear bumper attached to the frame facing the ground directly behind the license plate. Any ideas. Thanks in advance

Not sure I understand the question. Are you referring to the License Plate light? If so, the ground attaches to the rear cross member behind the bumper. If this is not what your question is, ignore.. LOL..

I think its a question about the light under the rear of the car that faces the ground.

FYI, that courtesy light should come on when you turn your interior lights on, so if you should need to drop the spare tire at night, just twist the headlight switch to turn it on.
