Halfshaft removal

Halfshaft removal
How much do I have to remove to get the halfshaft off? Is it ok to just unbolt the shaft or do I have to disassemble the leafspring and camber bar first? Thanks a lot

If I remember correctly with the trailing arm hanging you can take the u bolts off the differential u joint then push the half shaft upward to get it to disconnect there, then you will have the room and for ease of disassembly at the wheel hub,

Pretty sure manual says to extend strut to get out..i did not..comes right out.. neutral spin wheels to get to bolts done..at least on 79
