What's a good & durable installation tool? I read a few reviews on ProForm and Morrso where some have snapped off inside the crank snout. That has got to be a nightmare to get removed.
Hoping to purchase a quality tool that can with stand the tight press fit strain when installing the balancer.
Thank you,
Marshal
I had a cheap one once and it snapped off in the crank snout. Luckily I was able to remove the broken piece with needle nose pliers. I bought a proform and it is good quality.
I bought a TCI super damper, there website says that they make there damper tight because different crankshaft makers have use higher or lower tolerances. I measured my crank snout first, then went to the machine shop and they check the inner diameter of the damper, then hone it to fit. If your damper is to tight, could break the installer or mess up the crank. Good luck.
