Default Guage Pug Question

Does anyone know if they make a plug that will plug into the harness on a 79 for the guage cluster instead of plugging into the back of the housing and circuit board? I am getting ready to install different guages and would like to not have to cut the new dash harness to put on a custom plug, would prefer to just make a custom adapter.

I don't know of a F/M 12 connector housing or F/M crimp connectors that could be used to create this adapter.
If your only choice is to extract the wires out of the circuit board connector housing and cut them, the Male Crimp connectors are available if you need to reinstall at a later date for about .35 cents each LINK:https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...BDD2Ncfg%3D%3D.
They come in a strip like this.

I have the same question and the same reason. I have a few extra gauge clusters that I can cut up, but figured that 3D printing a socket might be my best bet.

I'd love a plug and play solution.

3D printing a connector housing sounds interesting.
The link below is the the drawing for the circuit board connector housing.
Most times these drawings include the F/M corresponding part number but that is not the case in this drawing.
It does include the Male crimp connector part number I posted above.
I haven't yet found a F/M crimp connector even if a housing could be fabricated.

Thanks for the info on the cririmp connectors. That is probably the route I will go if I ever go back to the original setup.

In our cars, all the housing does is hold the flexible printed circuit board. I figured I'd have to lay stripped, tinned wires in the pockets, and run them to a more proper connector (or to a terminal block). Thanks for finding the diagram!
