I see ram makes a 153 tooth steel flywheel, 2 piece seal internal balance only weighs 10lbs. I think i remember gkull saying one time he has a 168 steel 22 lb flywheel that sounds like what i need. I have a new 36 lb center force not going to use.

My 22 pound 168 tooth 11 inch clutch SFI was actually just a machined down heavy flywheel and then recertified.
You have to think about the whole rotating assembly weight. Not just the flywheel. all the pulleys, damper, crankshaft..... So you need a smaller diameter damper...
10 pound I would worry about the terrific bending forces over time when you dump the clutch.
When I researched this I couldn’t find a steel flywheel less than about 22 lbs and the one I did find was just a 30+ lb flywheel that had been machined down, and the thinner flywheel was going to create clutch linkage geometry problems for me. I ended up using an aluminium flywheel with a steel insert that weighed in at about 17 lbs. It’s great but it does take a little getting used to. You end up riding the clutch a little more on takeoff and I wouldn’t use one with a stock engine. You need considerable torque to make up for the lightweight flywheel.
Drwet, I'm not a fan of adjustable pivot *****. I've had to play around setting them up on clients cars. I found the the GM long ball stud 1.78 inches works fine with all the light weight aluminum and steel flywheels.
I'm also a firm believer in SFI rated parts and blow proof bell housings. I've seen a drag car with a hole straight up through the wind shield. It could have thrown a chunk out at 10 o'clock and taken the guys feet off at the ankles.

I agree. I tried one once but I found the adjustment ended up at about the same length as stock. What makes you bring it up?
I'm using one of these on my 355. That and a McLeod Super Street Pro 10.5" clutch. I weighed it before inatation and it was closer to 17 lbs. It's a street car with a RG non-OD trans with a 3.08 rear.
