Default 1981 code 15

I'm throwing code 15, which is making me run super rich. I've replaced the thermostat with a 195, replaced the coolant temperature sensor and tested the ground that attaches to the thermostat cover/water outlet. Yet I am still throwing the code. Am I missing any grounds to check? Anything obvious I might be missing here? I'm still waiting for my chassis service manual to arrive and I'm at the limits of googling.

Have you checked if the wire connected to the sensor has voltage?

Yeah it does. Moot now though. I got fed up, went for a little cruise with my dog and halfway through the light turned off and stayed off lol. Went into closed loop and it was running beautifully. I guess it needed some time to run in or something.

Remove the CTS sensor and wire brush off any scale (if there is any).....or just replace.....they are still inexpensive.
Make sure the cooling system is full......and clean......if the sensor does not directly touch water......it will not function correctly.....and when it does see water will work fine, putting the car in a open/close/open/close situation as you are driving.
Use distilled water only and fresh clean green anitfreeze of course.
