I have the inserts, screws and well nuts to install these. Wish I would have drilled before paint. Anyway, they are a very loose fit. Any tips for installation so they all line up straight?

try a couple of laps of black tape. might need to put a bunch of strips on one or two sides as opposed to wrapping all the way around. another option clear silicone. would glue in good, fill the gaps and be removable too. and do nothing yet. wait for more options and any reasons why any options are a baaaaad idea.

Mine fit well. I drilled pilot holes first and screwed in upper screw first before marking side screw. We’re nice and tight. No issue.

The screw will let it be closer to the center

Thank, gang, I went for it!

The victim.

The kit comes with well nuts and ss screws. The well nuts require you to drill sixteen 3/8” hole a real pucker factor!

First one done.

And installed.

Same process for me. Started with drilling pilot hole on the top first. Loosly securing with screw, then positioning for drilling the screw on the side. As I liked the full on chrome look, I rubbed off painted finish with acetone prior to fitting
