Its time to rebuild my 350. It is stock inside with performer man, holley and 4 into 1 headers. I was thinking, instead of messing around with the 350 I should purchase a used stock 400 and rebuild that instead. Im only going mild, around 300+ HP. I wanted to reuse the factory internals and refit my bolt on accessories. Does this sound like a good plan?
Is there anything else I will have to purchase to make my parts fit on? What about the power steering and alt pulleys. Will they bolt on onto the 400 head/block?
All your externals will bolt onto the 400,just remember if you use your 350 heads on the 400 you have to drill steam holes in them .Youll be happy with the 400,a ton of torque these motors make at low rpm.
