Default Temperature gauge

I’m hoping someone on the forum has run into this problem. I’m working on my ‘78. I have installed a new BluePrint stroker motor with aluminum heads. I’ve also got a Holley Sniper EFI kit installed. The coolant temp sensor for the Holley set up installed nicely in the right cylinder head. But I think I also need to reinstall the factory sensor for the gauge in the dash. The problem is where to install it. There is another spot on the the other head but the factory gauge won’t fit (too big). Been to several auto parts stores and Ecklers etc and all the single wire temp sending units at the large thread GM style and won’t fit in any exiting water jacket holes on the BluePrint motor. I can get a small thread unit but it is either a 2 wire or multi wire unit for newer model cars and I don’t think that will work with the factory ‘78 gauge. I can’t be the only guy who has run into this so looking for some advice. Thanks in advance everyone

Willcox corvette makes one for the newer heads. It’s an oem style sender they cut down and rethread. It’s a little pricey. But it should work. Good luck
