If so...it could be a worn-out switch.
If you adjust the under-dash switch to be very sensitive, you have a problem with the brake lights occasionally staying on.

Adjust your switch so you still have about 1/16" free plunger travel distance with switch plunger against striker plate.
Not much sooner or later adjustment, the switch contacts are either open or closed.
