Default Spark plug

Hello to all. I'm thinking of replacing the AC Delco R45TS plugs in the car now with the NGK equivalent, curious if there will be any benefit. My questions are concerning the NGK. The car has an aftermarket, Pertronix, I believe pointless ignition. Do I leave the gap on the plugs at .035" or should it be increased to .040" because of the Pertronix. Also wondered if anyone knew of the country of origin for the NGK plugs. Thanks and take care

If only a pointless ignition it has no effect on the voltage going to the plugs, so stay at .035.

NGK spark plugs are excellent plugs and are used by many enthusiasts in a variety of vehicle makes and models. NGK plugs are made in Nagoya, Japan, but NGK has recently opened a plant in Thailand. If you are currently using a quality brand of spark plug, don't be surprised if you notice little or any difference in performance. Over time, you may notice a difference in durability, especially if you purchase the Iridium plugs.

Do be careful, as there are fake NGK's available, so be wary of lower priced NGK's than what you would expect them to cost.

Good luck... GUSTO
