Hello, I am going to be replacing all the weather stripping in my car. I noticed the front pillar has these metal tabs. What are these so I can try and find them to replace if they are supposed to be coated in place of normal metal. At a minimum I need to clean and paint them if they are something I can't get anymore. I did buy 78-82 Deluxe Body Weather-strip Kit from Zip Corvette so I am hoping the 4 parts in the kit below are what I need.

I think they're called retainer clips. Not sure if they're riveted in place or held in place with a screw. The ones that you're referring to in the kit might be located on the windshield. They look a bit different. Move forward with your project carefully and methodically, you want that weatherstripping installed perfect.
