Default Tachometer Woes

I've been working on my dash, replacing lamps etc. on my '76. When I put it back together my tach didn't work. I bought a new board for it before installation, so I thought I screwed something up. So I bought a brand new tach, nothing. I'm thinking maybe a fuse. I have a bad rotator cuff and it's hard for me to get down there to check, so can anyone please tell me which fuse it is and what else is on that fuse. If something else is not working I'll know for sure.
thanks!

I found out that this outdoor lawn chair really helps me out when working under the dash, good luck.

If it worked before u took it out you probably pinched or damaged the flexible circuit board.

There's a 20 amp gauge fuse that powers it.

Tach works off but 3 wires. Power, Ground and Tach signal.
is the white wire connected to the distributor? Can you test said signal with with an ohm meter? May need a helper and fairly long leads on your meter. perhaps just run a temporary wire from tach connection at distributor to back of tach and see if it goes.

It did not work before. When I turn the ignition the needle moves slightly to zero. I looked at the distributor wire, its plugged in. I'll try to check it tomorrow night.

I just bought a whole new tach, its a t zero.
I finally found a clear picture of the fuse panel, 3rd fuse from bottom on right says gauges, I'll try that next.
Now that I think about it, I have a gauge in the center console, oil pressure I think, that's not working.
Feeling good about that fuse.
I'll let you know.
thanks!

hmm.
so you had an old tach that did not work at all no movement.
you went in and changed the board (from willcox) and still no go.
you bought a new tachometer..but did you re use the new willcox board or did the new one come with it?
if you cannot zero it out (according to video with 12v and ground solid) ..i am still thinking board as you tried 2 tachs but not clear on what boards you got..

So then hook the other tach to the distributor directly to see if it is/was the tach or a wiring/connector issue.
