Default Identify Holley Carb

Hey! I was hoping someone could help me ID this Holley carb. I’ve found to numbers stamped but neither points to the model of the carb. Any ideas?

In your second picture, look at the stamped number on the air horn. Jebbysan nailed it - it is a 4777. 650 cfm.

As Jebby says - Looks like it's stamped 4777-4. It's an older model (more than 10 years old, but not as old as from the 1970's) 4150 mechanical secondary 650 cfm. Specs are 66/73/6.5/.028/.032

Lars
It is pre-1997 as it does not have the embossed "Holley" on the bowls and the ribbed/embossed main body......just a little FYI
It is an excellent carb for a hot 350 4 speed car on the street.....

I have owned a Demon 650 (I think it may have been a 600) and 750 (w/vacuum secondary’s and electric choke) as well as a couple of AED 750’s without the choke tower. My experience with the Demon was sloppy – nearly everything about it was sloppy. Almost every orifice was machined oversized which caused binding, bleeding, and leaking especially on the blade shafts, they ran ok but made a nasty mess. on the intake manifold. I have zero experience with the annular boosted Demons. I won’t allow myself to make the Demon purchasing mistake again. The AED was a much better carb out of the box but they skimped on the gasket material package as well. If you need to open the carburetor for anything – and you likely will – nothing comes apart easily! You have to pry the bowls apart (destroying the gaskets) along with the risk of breaking metal parts and then, you have to replace/upgrade the gaskets along with any other needed modifications. (I would recommend changing all the gaskets when you purchase the carb if you can). My best advice would be to see what Quick Fuel offers and verify the gasket material is easily detachable if you want a Holley-style carburetor. I’m sorry I can’t offer a more positive outlook but I actually gave a 750 Demon away because it just meant that much to me. They look great – but that look doesn’t do much for you while trying to keep fuel off your intake manifold, maintaining a decent idle, or the simplicity of tuning without destroying the carburetor….My current carb on the 72 Vette is an Edelbrock 800 AVS2 with an electric choke. The motor is a 500hp 383 with 550 ft. lbs. of torque. She absolutely loves the fuel from the 800 cfm at 3500-5500 rpm but the idle is way rich no matter what I do and my acceleration is very (tire) smookie with long strips of rubber on the pavement in all four gears as a signature that I have been there...lol… I’m going to replace and preserve the numbers matching motor this winter with a 434 and a Holley Sniper EFI system. We will see – just for grins and giggles, I will share my learning experience.......Good luck on all your endeavors, We look forward to hearing about your accomplishments.....it’s a whole lot of fun – a bit expensive but wayyyyyyyyy fun..

A completely irrelevant post and comment about the OP's question from 8 months ago. He wanted to know which Holley he has. Your opinions about Demons and AED's have nothing to do with his question. Start a new thread in the off-topic.
