Default Aces Fuel Injection

Has anyone heard of this company? I don’t know why they have this name when at this point they only sell ignition parts. However, their ignition parts do seem interesting. It would be nice to have a programable ignition system to where you could set your timing in the car and still have carburetor. For me this is simplicity at its best. I’ve never checked to see if you could do the same with Holleys Sniper ignition system. Should probably go do that....

Edit: Just talked to Aces - They said you can run a wide-band 02 sensor with your Carb and the ignition would adjust timing based the readings... Very interesting...

Looking at the link you provided, what exactly did you see that they offer that will adjust timing based on air/fuel ratio?
The only distributor they show is mechanical advance.
The CDI box has a programmable curve but how does that work in conjunction with a mechanical advance distributor?

He said the harness is used for EFI, which has a connector for 02.

I’m assuming its similar to Holleys distributor which has a Hall Effect sensor in it, but this one uses a magnetic pick up trigger.

He did say they are coming out with a port fuel injection system in a couple of months that will be similar to Edelbrock’s. If you add-in the ignition system he said the pricing will be around $2,000, without $1,500.

You stated something to use with a carburetor.
So what component they currently sell does the O2 sensor plug into and somehow controls ignition timing?
Regardless of pickup, the distributor on their site says mechanical advance.

Holleys sniper EFI controls the timing through the ignition, THe EFI has the O2 sensor. I had their EFI controling my timing through my MSD though. There isnt a provison for the Sniper ignition to have an O2 sensor...currently

and timing is controlled by what the ecm already knew. not by what the engine is doing now. the ecm uses the o2 sensors to adjust fuel. it adjusts timing by everything else BUT the o2 sensors. by the time the ecm sees that fuel is too lean, it is too late to retard the timing. damage is already done. i have toyed with the idea of an efi type distributor and ecm for timing only, but without air temp, MAP (vacuum) and throttle position sensor, a vacuum advance can and mech advance weights do the job well enough.

Suggest you get in touch with Lars on this forum and get his info on setting up your distributor and have him redo your carb if it needs it. No need for any new whiz bang gadgets!
