Default 700 cfm carburetor question

Does anyone know of a 700 cfm carburetor that is low profile to fit a 68 vette? I heard it exists but it’s starting to feel like I’m chasing a unicorn

The carb is probably not the most pressing issue. What intake manifold do you have to go with it? I assume you have a SB hood, or you wouldn't have the issue.

Not really a clearance issue right now as I have a BB hood, it’s just I want to maximize air flow. And I heard a rumor of the low profile 700 cfm carburetor but can’t find anywhere

If you don't have a clearance issue, why do you care? You can always buy a drop-base air cleaner which will lower the upper cover by about 2 inches or so.

If you still have a spread-bore intake on the engine, stay with the Q-jet. 750cfm and lots of benefits. The carb does need to be rebuilt and set up properly (as would ANY carb you choose).

There are some low profile snorkel kits you could use and route your intake and filter wherever you want

I've never heard of a low profile carb.

Q-Jets and all the Holley-based designs are all the same height. There is no "low profile" carb that is going to gain you any hood clearance over any other carb.
