Two different methods of thought:
A) Connect one alligator clamp(let's assume red) to the positive terminal on the good battery.
B) Connect other red clamp to the positive terminal on the bad battery.
C) Connect black clamp to negative terminal on good battery.
D) Here's where you have options. Either connect the black clamp to the negative terminal on the bad battery, or a grounding bolt. It's safer to connect it to a bolt, as you don't want it to be too close to the battery in case battery gases are floating around. Kabooooooom.
Give it a jump start. If it doesn't start right away, let it go for about ten minutes. Reccommend keeping the RPMs up to about 2000-2500 in the good car, as that's when the alternator cranks the most amps.
First thing is charge your battery up and make sure when you connect it back up there is no corrosion on the terminals and that they are nice and tight.
i tyeed to jump start it last night from a cop lol and just right now i lef tthe battery get up almost 3/4 way up and it doesnt wanna work but when i took it to auto zone and had then charge it it worked so im no thin
alternator, baterry, and "OR" starter but i think ill take 1 more trip down to auto zone and have then charge it up, opr try to find my battery charger at home somwere

I just went through a similar expereince, I found that the car wouldnt turn over - so i recharged the battery - nothing - turns out the battery had a dead cell, and while I could stuff 12 volts in it - it didnt have enough cranking amps to turn the motor over - new battery fixed it - drove last night to office christmas party - so im in good shape.
ok i tryed the new battery and then im right back to when i turn it over i get a high pitch typed wind then i get a grind like better 2 metal sound when i relase the key.........
new alternator
or starter?
could it be the spark plugs in anyway?
anyone knows if i can fix this barehanded tonight
?
