I have read a lot, but haven't seen my issue addressed. I am replacing my crusty radiator with a new Dewitt's aluminum radiator/dual Spal fan system. I bought a complete salvaged serpentine accessory drive set-up, including the pulleys, alternator, P/S pump, and A/C compressor. Only thing missing is the water pump. My aluminum brackets look a bit different from the pictures I have seen online. I haven't tried installing it yet. Are there any differences between TBI and TPI brackets? I got the TBI set-up. I am waiting to hear back from the seller what particular vehicle they came from. The item number is below, not sure if anyone else can see the add since it has already been sold.
Hope it fits under the hood, some of the TBI ones fit differently. Can't see pictures of it. You will need to get a reverse rotation regular water pump not the shorty
Tpi are the ones you want off a Camaro or firebird.
One of our members a friend of mine screams it won't work without hundreds of hours of fabrication yada yada yada, well it will work just fine because he got one off an LT1. Good luck I hope he doesn't see this.lol.
Hope it does work, car has been taking up my friend's garage for a month. I'm optimistic, because the V6 Camarobirds used a TBI. Just my luck, A complete TPI system just showed up on eBay for the same price. If it doesn't fit at least I got all the pulleys, alternator, P/S & A/C pump for $400, I can buy just the brackets.
I got a set off of an old Blazer like a 98 or so...got it out of the bone yard for $ 212.00 I have the gen 1 350 it bolted up fine except for the boss on the right side, only one on the heads I have "old school" 1,92 heads. would of had to use the brackets and maybe even fabricate a few to keep it stable since it couldn't bolt up properly. If you have newer heads they will bolt right up. problem I noticed is that the A/C compressor was above the carb. I do not have the front cap on the car so I wasn't real happy with the way it laid out. I went to the GM parts book and pieced out the bracket for the right side the complete GM change over is part number 809-19417906. complete with compressor, water pump, alt, power steering belt bolts, etc. price Is about 1300.00 but you can piece it out to fil in what you need, HOWEVER some parts will not line up properly ie, pulleys. I ended up using the alt, power steering and a/c delete pully but purchased the brackets for both sides and pulleys to cobble it together. as well as a reverse flow water pump. The newer bracket lowered the a/c to below the carb height and looks like it should clear. (measured clearances on friends running 76 to get height ) Problem I had was finding a rad hose to work on the top. Changed out the left facing thermostat housing with a straight one and found a perfect hose (had to shorten a bit) gates hose 71864 don't know what it supposed to go to but angles are correct..scan tron number 3824469775Also experienced the idler pulley had to be installed in the opposite direction to clear wheel tower...Wish I knew how to send pics I would...Radman on here was also a big help with belt size he's doing the same thing Ill try to remember to bring in part numbers tomorrow to post if that will help you out.
I just checked my pics...it was the tensioner pully that was too high A/c was ok..GM replacement had lower tensioner position.

The GM Performance Part catalog serpentine kiit was original equipment on early 1990's Firebirds and Camaros. . The GM Performance Parts unit fits under a small block hood ...my 68. Edelbrock makes a reverse rotation aluminum water pump you can use. This serpentine kit has an idler pulley on a bracket underneath the AC compressor goes. This pulley interferes with the passenger side spring tower. Rotate the bracket 180 degrees, install it upside down.....no interference, workds just fine.
Found the Accessory drive system in the catalog...Part number 19418818 also gives a parts list to purchase separate. Also I found that the power steering pump has to be installed before the pulley is on, so to service it in the future you have to pull the pulley off first, may be a tight fit to maneuver. I selected the 5 spoke power steering pulley from Summit part number AAZ-3P-25160 with this you can access the bolts without pulling the pulley off, plus it looks cool!
Exactly what I had to do...needed to file a bit off the bracket to make it fit. Rotate the bracket 180 degrees, install it upside down.....no interference, workds just fine.

We put the truck TBI system on yesterday, I think it will be OK. We laid the hood on and it seemed alright, need to check with a piece of foam to make sure the alternator isn't rubbing. It's really hot down here in Texas and we are old men.
