Good afternoon all, Does anybody know what size the outlet fitting is for the standard fuel injection tank that most places sell? I think our used the wrong AN conversion fitting - maybe I used a tube fitting and the tank is actually an NPT fitting or some thing. It leaks just a bit when pressure is applied.
On the couple of Tank's Inc tanks I have used they were 3/8" npt. I would try teflon tape instead of the pipe sealant paste. Good number of wraps of the tape. Wrap the tape the correct direction so as you screw it in it doesn't peel the tape back. Maybe run a pipe tap in the fitting to make sure you have nice clean threads. Grease on the tap will help hold chips.

Use the paste as most dont want any of the tape to come off and clog the filters or injectors. If you use the tape just be careful not to use too much past the threads. I only do 2 wraps wwhen I need it. As for the threads its either NPT, most are, or they would state "straight cut" with an o-ring and they are obvious.
What is odd is that I found in my collection of AN fittings what I believe to be the correct one (left) and it still has some Teflon on it from when it was installed before somewhere. I think the incorrect fitting is for the transmission fluid to go into the radiator.
My Tanks Inc tank was 1/4" NPT.
I used 1/4" NPT to -6AN.
One had to have a -6AN to -6AN 90 degree attached because two straight connectors had interference in every way that I would position the flange
