What stall was there originally in a 71 270 hp?
fitting a 200r4 transmission and need to chose between a 10" 2100 or 2500 rpm (brake)stall so gonna base it off the stock stall.
Engine is quite stock, but has headers, true duals, alloy inlet and a different carb.
Apparently, the stock stall speed was 2100 rpm on the base L-48 engine. But, if you beef up that engine, the stall speed of that same transmission will be higher!
Stall speed is a function of the converter design AND the torque capability of the engine.
