71 no start

71 no start
came back from car show turned it off to unload things, would not start but could hear the key turn the fuel pump on. so we pulled it and fired up and drove on hoist to find the problem. i had the steering column rebuilt 2 years ago and put in new key switches and a new switch down on the column. it has tko-5 speed tranny and the clutch has to be engaged to start. i can not find that safety switch and i am also checking out the starter any ideals on where to look. thank you

it is a restored mod. i felt that if i could pull it and started that it would narrow it down to a few things to check for. there is two wires going to the tranny on the left side i will have to check with tko as to what they are for

If the clutch switch is still there.....pull the plug and jump it.....it is WAY up there.....do you know a 15 year old kid? LOL. I keep mine jumped because I hate safety nanny equipment......just pay attention.
While the 15 year old you hired is down there.....have him/her check the adjustment of the ign switch on the column.....
