Ok so I have 1980 vette . The flasher relays are good. The brake lights and hazard flashers are good. All the lights work. The dash illuminated instruments all light up and when the hazard flashers are on they light up as well. My problem is the trim signals don’t work . When I turn my running lights on And I turn the left turn signal on the right brake light goes out. And when I turn the right turn signal on both both rear brake lights stay lit. What do you guys think is the problem? I am think it’s the turn signal switch .
I had this problem it was grounds. If a ground is missing it will search for other paths. Make sure your grounds are good. Easy with a test light connected to positive battery make sure of ground.
Thanks you guys I found a socket I thinks is the problem gonna try to replace it tomorrow. I also replaced the turn signal switch and all the bulbs . But still no luck .
So I replaced the socket and that fixed some of the problem. I still have no turn signals but now when I turn the left turn signal on the right running light stays lit ! I ll keep you guys updated when I find the problem . It’s definitely a ground issue .
