Steering column length
Does anyone know what the steering column length is on a 76 t/t? The ignition switch broke in my original column and after disassembly, I found that the gear that moves the rod for the switch is broken and according to Zip it is not currently reproduced for this year. Also, turn signal cam is broken and the aluminum tilt ball is cracked.
I'd rather just put an aftermarket column in it for now, but I don't want to reassemble the whole thing to take a measurement. I figure it's a good excuse to get rid of the 76 wheel and rag joint while I'm at it anyway. Even if I did spend the money to replace the broken parts, my luck I would get it back together and another 40yo piece of plastic would break.
