Default WTF Center Grills

Where can I find center grills for a 1973 vette? I can find 68-69, 70-72, and 80-82 why can't I find the one I need? If anybody knows please help me!!!!!!!!!!!

I can "sort of" tell you till a 73 expert chimes in. They're very rare and nobody repops them. They sell for big bux when you can find them in NOS or good used condtion. I believe that they were "optional" as the front license tag was "standard". A friend of mine bought a NOS one at Carlisle a few years ago. Paid between $100 and $200 for it and thought he got a deal. Chuck

One just sold on E-bay for a 74 it was 186 bucks..I bid 170 on it...but I am glad I did not win it

I think Chuck got it above. The 73 center grill was only used for two years, 73 and 74 (73 had chrome leading edges and the 74 was all black). A two year only item. Very limited demand for them since they can only be used in states without a front plate. So no one reproduces them. Only used ones available and they are expensive. At Bloomington last June, I only saw one and it was $200. They generaly sell on eBay for $200 and up.

Sure would be nice if someone would do a plastic knock-off (hint, hint you vendors out there :D ).

I have seen the other years like the 68/69 and the 70/72 but not the 73/74. The 70/72 looks alot like it but will not fit.
