Default Another minor hood latch problem

Ok...I got it open, received all my replacement parts, now a question.
My pull cable broke at the end near the stop so I have no reference on
how the little barrel attachment hooks up at the end of the cable, and
then hooks up with the latch.
I dont want to install wrong and go thru the manual unlocking thing again.
Anyone have a pic of that small area?
Thanks

My 75. Lube the pivot good. Been dry a couple decades or so. In fact all the latch points may want a squirt of oil. Run another cable, 5 buck Lowe’s piece, below the pivot and thru the hole you pushed the latch with. Leave enough to grab with vise grips. And leave it there for the time being. Also , measure how far in you have to go with that tool to hit that latch point. Everything is easier 2nd time around.

Thats what I needed to see. Ive got the cable with the handle and the one that goes from side to side. Also some coated wire from Home depot and some silcon spray.
All new clevises. That pic was all I needed.

before you close the hood, attach a long wire to the latch and let it hang straight down out the bottom so you open it in case it happens again
