Having a '73 requires the outer Z-Bar Pivot Bracket to be welded onto the Frame.
My question; Exactly welded WHERE on the Frame?
I'm guessing here; First, setup the Engine Block Stud and Z-Bar together, this bracket be placed into position in Z-Bar and on the Frame, align straight, mark it's position on the Frame, and then weld it there. No?
But we shouldn't guess when welding. Please advise me.
Thanks much.
What you described is exactly what I did and it worked out fine. I also had the rod from the clutch petal to the z bar installed without the springs. I tacked the bracket in place and then moved the z bar through its range of motion to make sure I didn’t have any clearance issues before welding full passes.
If you search around on the forum I believe measurements have been posted to place the bracket as well.

Thanks much for the confirmation AND the tip on Clutch Pedal Rod in place.
