Default Electrical issue- 1979 C3

The other day, the power window on the driver side stopped working. Believing it was probably the switch, I pried up the console cover by removing the four screws and replaced the switch. Driver power window now working. However, the power locks and courtesy lights are no longer working. Is there a connector in the transmission tunnel area, I might have accidentally unplugged? The Assembly Manual (section 12) has me completely confused about this I also discovered that I had pooped off the automatic transmission indicator. Getting at those window switches wasn’t easy. Thanks!

Go back in to the tunnel and use some Scotch 33+ tape and tape any item that could have been disturbed.Push on any connectors and look for wires that came out of terminals. If other items are not working now and they did in past you probably disturbed something. Have a good LED light to source problem! Good Luck!

You want to unmate and remate the connectors which may have been disturbed. Small disturbances of the contacts can move the point of contact to an area where corrosion has built up, especially on 40+ year old contacts. Fully unmating and remating them can sometimes wipe the corrosion or other debris from the surface.

Thanks everyone, my problem is fixed. I broke the cardinal rule of working around car wiring. While I had kept the key off, I did not use the electrical cutout. I think I grounded the cigarette lighter and blew out the circuit. Some previous owner had put in a too small fuse in the fuse panel. Probably would have blown the larger fuse, anyway. Word to the rise, if your going to be working around wiring, USE YOUR CUTOUT!! It can be inconvenient but you will save yourself ton of trouble.
