Latex Weather Striping
Has anyone ever used the latex striping before? This is the first I've ever seen it and wondering if it is worth the extra price.

I tryed it on my A frame weatherstips. thinking if it was more expensive it would be better. melted to the glass in the Hot Queensland sun. never again.

Folklore is that latex (natural rubber) foam weatherstriping is better because it's softer. It was used in older cars. 4-Vettes said his latex weatherstriping melted. This latex weatherstriping must not have been manufactured (vulcanized) properly. Ordinarily latex rubbers have good high temperature characteristics so aircraft and truck tires are often made with natural rubber.
