As with many things on these cars, taking it out is not hard, it is putting it back together. The runner wheels are riveted on. The lift has to be folded to be slipped out of the access panel in the door. The factory service manual goes through the routine. Give you self four hours plus the time it takes to get the parts. I would not start if it were going to rain that afternoon.
