Default Spark Plug wire set 73 350

I just received the new wires Cap and Rotor from Summit Racing

Summit Racing SUM-867803CR - Summit Racing® Volt Max X-TREME Spark PlugWire/Cap and Rotor Kits

Seems like the wires are at least 6"s to short, especially for plugs 1,3 2,and 4. Wires 5,7,6,and 8 could use another 4"s.
I know these will not fit the covers that the original wires are routed in but I cant see these coming across the exhaust manifolds and up the back of the motor at all.
Anyone have this issue

Did you contact Summit?
They probably are intended for headers where the wires come up to the rocker covers and then to the distributor.

Standard Automotive products makes original replacement sets that fit perfectly with all your stock shielding. Summit sells them. very affordable.

Did they advise you on that choice of wires, or did you just order them yourself? If you are keeping the original engine 'dress' hardware, you need a set of stock replacement wires. Just call them and swap for the correct wires. If you chose that set, you will have to pay shipping and [possibly] a re-stocking fee.

https://www.standardbrand.com/en/ecatalog?year=1973

the cheaper "pro" set 27893 is essentially intended for shops' margins, carries 3yr/36mo warranty
the pricier "std" set 7893 carries life of engine warranty

I choose the set. My car is not original at all so I did not expect the wires to be factory but they do state that they fit all 350. So I would have thought they would fit under the exhaust to the back of the motor and up. I will have to run them over the top of the valve covers. No big deal but not what I expected

^^need yr/model specific wires, most out there just go over the valve covers
Call napa and see if they have the 8mm Beldens, those are super nice wires and only $30. Prefer them over summit brand/msd Ive been using for yrs.

for $25 - $30 you can get a great quality set made w/ modern materials but fits exactly like OE great value ... lots more wire for the $ than you'd expect ... post # 5

both napa & summit sell smp ... in fact, most of napa's ignition line is made by standard motor products ... not chinesium! SMP very old company.

Like I said in post number 3. SMP wires, OEM quality, run in the stock locations, through the boomerangs and all. fit great last for years. run underneath out of sight and out of the way. And inexpensive. Super Duper ooooh Waaa wires will gain you zero HP and zero torque.
