Default Emergency Brake

i need some help on this emergency brake routing. I have new offset trailing arms, the way they run the cable it rubs right up against the trailing arm.

My concern is when im driving the car the trailing arms will be rubbing against the cable and eventually wear it out.

Am I routing this wrong? This is a 73 coupe.

Thanks,

Reggie

That’s the reason they put the spiral guard around the cable.

You could get a short piece of clear tubing, slit, and put over the cable at the contact points to give you piece of mind.

And zip-tie the tubing with small zip-ties to keep the tubing in place.

Good suggestions with the rubber hose. I wouldn't worry about it. It's not a daily driver getting 15,000 miles a year.

If you don't mind drilling a small hole, you could add a tubing clamp to the arm to keep the cable guide positioned away from it.

Would not recommend Post #5. Those cables are incredibly stiff and need to move as the suspension travels.
