Has anyone had issues with reproduction alternator brackets for a 68 BB with power steering not fitting well on the stud at the exhaust manifold making it difficult to tension the power steering pump?
I did the same thing, I made a spacer out of some steel tubing and fixed it.
Eventually I got so tired of the old belts that I switched over to a March Serpentine Belt conversion kit. Today I have a single belt that does everything for me. It gets rid of having to adjust the belts over and over again.
I never under stood why GM let that slide in the first place. The aftermarket bracket felt twisted in place.

im running headers and not using that stud currently I was going to make a stud and double nut it but its working for me currently. I also have stock brackets
