Begin Rant.....Yes I realized this is an old thread, but since I am doing the same thing I figured they would have an answer. I have asked about it in the general forum and was referred to the paint forum with virtually no response and just happened across this thread. I was under the impression this forum was here to help other Corvette owners and be supportive, but I have noticed lately it has gotten more and more condescending and less and less helpful. Apparently if you're not someone who has all the answers and finances to own a perfect shop, you're not welcomed anymore. So much for the average person trying to learn from the "so called experts". End Rant....
No you are NOT doing the same thing... Flex and rigid bumpers completely different.. And DUB(the resident expert) has gave you his professional and probably best honest opinion you'll ever get on what to use...
If we've offended you...
Once again your wisdom is amazing.....not. What the hell difference does it make that this thread is old. Every word of it, and the technical value of it, remains relevant to the OP question. I will never understand the need to point out old threads that have been reactivated. It is likely that something someone wrote in 2002 may not be pointed out in 2018. Why does it matter that a thread is old?

Look at this thread in case you have not.. But with you having 'flex' bumper ...it is different. Which is why I do not use 'flex' bumpers. I had been installing rigid bumpers way before someone thought that this is a good idea.
So what you choose to use is entirely up to you because I am not specifically suggesting any product.
I know your replied in another thread on this topic in the 'paint and body' section that the company told you what to use. But they did not give you a specific brand name and are leaving that up to you. And my fear is....if you use something and it fails...and you go back to them and tell them that is failed....it can become a finger pointing match on who actually is liable.

Well he's asking people who probably haven't been on this site for a decade.
Plus the questions being asked are irrelevant to the thread actually.
Nothing wrong with an old thread but expecting a response is Ludacris at best so... A new thread should have been started(or not since already started one and had answers in P&B).
