Default Wrong Lower Boot ?

WHAT THE HELL?

You mean we're to fabricate an adapter?

No way is this a direct fit.

68-81 huh? Car is a 1973 w/TH400, converting to an M20. Or tryin to.

Anyone come across this?
Thanks folks.

The original hole cut into the transmission tunnel was larger for automatic cars verses manual cars. When I converted my 71 from auto to manual I used the correct manual boot that you have and made an adapter plate to seal the larger hole for the auto boot. I used the old auto boot as a die to bend the adaptor plate.

Also, the two riveted clips on the left side of the manual boot should clip under the left fiberglass edge of the existing hole to properly position the boot. So your adapter plate is primarily going to be covering the right side of the existing hole.

That answers it!

Will hold off on adapter fabrication until M20/shifter is mounted.
Thank you sir!
