I recently bought a 1969 427 390HP. I can tell the transmission in the car is not the original 4 speed muncie but I have no idea what transmission this car has in it. It seems to be cast iron and not aluminum like a Muncie. Would anyone from these photos be able to tell me what it has in it?

Zoom in a bit closer. I think we will be able to identify it from the cast iron composition.
Or you could take a photo of the plate that the shift levers pass through.
This is all I got for the code: http://corvettec3.ca/trans.htm

The shape of the transmission may help too. Take some pictures from further out. Maybe somebody here will recognize it.

Guessing a Saginaw or Borg-Warner, take a picture of the side cover and post it here.
