Looking for suggestions for a new radiator. Do not have deep pockets but want a reliable radiator with no alterations for the install. Aluminum, brass and a good company to do business with. I guess $600 + shipping would be in the ball park!
Thanks
Richard
Try Dewitts direct fit radiators. They fit nicely in both of my C3"s. You might want to try Zipproducts, sometimes they have sales. You might get lucky.

Save money and get an aluminium rad made by Cold Case or Champion. I have the Cold Case and its a direct fit and is very similar to a Dewitt hd rad with the 1-1/4" tubes. But hey, it's your money.

IMHO, the only radiator that meets the expectations of your request is DEWITT'S!!! My DeWitt's install was a simple R & R. Just do a search for DeWitt's in the C3 AND C2 forums. For the peace of mind of cooling a C3, particularly a Big Block, spend the money for the BEST.
Dewitt's is definitely high quality, made in USA, and if you call you speak to someone knowledgeable on the phone. The two I posted above are forum members with really nice deals if they will fit your car.
OH!!! Thank you for the info. I hope to start the car on Sunday after being in storage for 35yrs. Still has the 85/86 Maine inspection sticker on the windshield. Millage is 210019.

Whats wrong with the orig? Cant you just have it boiled out and rodded? I'm doing that with my 72 and then going with the C5 twin elec fans.
I also had the original radiator in my SB 73 repaired, it cost about $ 100 and it obviously fits perfect. There are not many radiator shops around, but there are a still a few, because they cater to large trucks and specialized equipment.
Its a time issue for one thing because there are not any "trusted shops" in my area. I am hoping to get some drive time in this fall before I put away for the winter. I will put the original upstairs in the garage for the purest who inherits it after i am
long gone.

What area do you live in? A good shop will have it done in a day
