Those aluminum panels look great, you guys did an awesome job. I think they look much better than the one's I made. The way you guys cut the oval shape for the "idiot lights" is neat, much cleaner than the Painless Wiring LED's I'm using. Awesome work!

I am sooooo jealous. It looks gorgeous. I have been planning on doing the same thing for quite a while now. Is the console panel overlaid on the plastic? I have also considered experimenting with some carbon fiber. I'm anxious to see more updates....Keep up the great work.....

1979VetteMike: Thanks Mike. :bb Yes the panel is overlaid on plastic. I like your idea of using carbon fibre, maybe in my next project after I've seen how yours turned out :yesnod:

BB wowbagger: Thanks, gotta love your signature...

Ganey: Thanks man, I don't know what I did, but I managed to miss yours and Monty replies!? Anyway, I think there will be some weight savings, but I'm not setting my hopes too high, I have added some weight too, Things like the Air Condition system will add some weight for sure, but still it should be bit lighter than when I started.

Monty: Thanks Monty, I think yours look just as good, you asked me about making the whole thing out of billet aluminum, it turned out very heavy construction, when compared to the one I've got now. I can send you pic of the center bit we did out of billet if you're interested.

That looks really cool, I especially like the e-bake handle. Autometer gauges are certainly the way to go. They are so easy to read. Looks like a very nice installation. I look forward to seeing how the interior comes out.

FinnShark: Thanks Riku, I was actually dead ill for ten days straight and wasn't able to do all the things I had planned doing before new year. So I'm running just a tad late of schedule, and the car should be ready to be painted next week. I'll be flying back to UK this Sunday so it's another 3month brake away from working on the car. :nonod:
I just made reservations on hotel rooms in Bowling Green and Nashville for the big events next summer, have you heard about anyone else going there from Finland? ANy chance you'd be going there?
Anyway talk to you soon.

As for now all the electric are done, except the electric headlight conversion, which Chris should send me anyday now. So now it's time for some pics, let me know what you think.
The dash looks awesome. Hey, I have been away from the forum for a while. Fill me in on the electric headlight conversion. Is someone finally doing one? I assume jimduchek never came through with his version since I was one of the first few who sent in money and I never saw a box arrive at my place
