Default 73-75 firewall insulation comparison

Hello I recently replaced the factory firewall insulation in my '74 and was disappointed with the available reproduction made by Quiet Ride Solutions and sold by many vendors. I was able to find a very high quality and accurate reproduction made by Country Corvette and sold by Dr. Rebuild and Paragon (although Paragon had temporarily discontinued it). I thought I'd post some comparison photos to help others make an informed purchase.
The Quiet Ride product is about $230-$250 depending on vendor. The Country Corvette part is $350. The Quiet Ride part also has a layer of foil embedded in it, so it should actually provide better heat performance, but it is also thicker (too thick?) I didn't check.

On top the Quite Ride Solutions current Replacement. On the bottom what is left of my original. The Quiet Ride is in two pieces! Should be one.

Close ups of the heater core hole.

Not sure what is going on in this area. There is an extra hole below the Accelerator mounting. and no hole for the Speedo Cable for Manual Cars.

This should be attached.

Heater Core hole is not the right shape would have required modification.

Here you can see the Country Corvette on the bottom and my original on top. Looks right on to me.

Heater core hole is right.

All one piece

Overlaid, the new one is spot on.

Note the cut out for the fuse box. There should be a mounting hole above it. That's the only discrepancy I could find.

Which one did you install the Quiet Ride or the more expensive one?

Purchased from Corvette Central. I know it wasn't cheap.
