ok guys I am new here and have been out of the game for some time so I am rustier than an old nail.
I recently purchased a 1976 L48 corvette and I want to help out the lack of HP on the low end. Not worried about top speed will be driven on the street.
I have a set of 461X heads for it 2.02/1.60 ported intake and exhaust valve guides with screw in studs matching set of heads
have long tube headers to be installed
have Holley 650 dual feed carb
HEI ignition
I am looking for what cam to use I am guessing 1.5 rockers and what head gasket thickness?
Stock motor only has 39,XXX miles too gonna trust the lower end lol.
Thanks in advance and if I asked the wrong question or didn't ask the right question feel free to call me an idiot that's how we learn
Use the Comp 262 cam for automatic.....the 268 for manual.
Jebby
I think Comps old school 260 HE cam maybe the cam Jebby is referring to. It is 212 212 duration @050 110 lsa. The Isky old school 262 super cam is 208 208 @ 050 108 lsa I think either one would work for an automatic.
