Default L 46 engine

Did any L46 motors use the HW block and did any come with solid lifters?

No solid lifters and what is an "HW" block? if you are speaking of the suffix code, HW is correct for a 69' Corvette 4spd. 350/350.

3896962 is the GM part number for a 350/350 Hydraulic cam. Are you seeing a casting number of 964 ?

OK guys , the 964 number I’m seeing is a cast number not a part number, thanks for the info.

but that’s the only number I see. . Is there a date code ? And do the lifters have a part number on them?
