Dunno from direct experience, but have read 4150 type Sniper EFI performs best w/ single plain.

I have a fair bit of experience with EFI on my 77. been quite a learning curve. I ran a thread about 2 years ago. "77 EFI conversion". You might wish to google it. I know our gas tanks are different, but everything else is the same.
I am in the process of switching out my duel plane manifold for a single plane. Hoping to cure the last little tuning bugs.
If you haven't purchased a manifold yet. would highly recommend you look at a single plane.
As per porting the stock heads. Complete waste of time and money. look at some budget alloy heads. You will be way ahead. Stock heads are garbage that are prone to cracking and have combustion chambers that are way to big.
As per Cam. once you get an idea which heads, head gasket, etc. you will be running. then we can give more advice. Keeping in mind those L48 dished pistons are going to be a limiting factor.

Porting the stock heads is a fools errand. That is the first thing you should change.

Not a fan of those cams, lots out there that will perform and still sound good. Same with bootlegger or names that draw kids in
Too much overlap for thier size youre blowing all your torque right out the exhaust.

If you're keeping the L48's OE dished pistons ... suggest look closely at TFS DHC 175 ... because their 60cc chambers are a good fit w/ the dishes.

Stay away from Thumper cams, especially with EFI.....the late exhaust closing will cause issues with tuning.....A/F, and vacuum overall......
The 7530 Team G will fit under the stock hood and would be the way I would go.......the 7547-1 mentioned above would work well too.....I would use a 1/2" spacer with it (wood phenolic)......
The Performer RPM fits under a 79' hood.....with a dropped base air cleaner....but the Sniper may be too fat for it to clear.....the RPM had the divider milled....and would work well with EFI.

OR you could save BIG $$$ on the TFS and find some alum Vette L98 heads (58cc) but they wont want to rev past 5000-5500. I scored some for $50 off CL for a budget L48 project i'm building
