New to these transmissions so I don't know how much wear is going to effect this or that.
For those in the know, is the wear on this 3 & 4 Lever Clevis Pin going to create a noticeable slop?
Was attached to the upper/normal throw Lever holes. I'm planning on using the lower/short throw Lever holes.
Would you replace it?
If I had a new one handy or was ordering other parts and not in any hurry, Yes. However if I wanted this car on the road today, don't think it would worry me much.
A Spring Washer is called for on the #1 & #2 Shift Lever Clevis Pin. Designers had a reason for it being so.
Went to a tranny shop to buy one and was told "We don't have them". WHAAAT? I'm assuming they didn't want to screw around with such a trivial thing. In leaving I asked "You guys just use flat washers there, huh?" He answered yes.
Really?
