Help - Frame Gauge Hole Identification

I'm in the process welding in a C4 front suspension into my '79 frame.

I need to locate a good reference point and my shop manual shows a "Gauge Hole A" as a reference for checking frame straightness.

The problem is, I'm not sure which hole on the frame is "Gauge Hole A".
I'm thinking it's #2 but I'd appreciate confirmation.

I always like the number 2 hole but it might be painful for her ,,, number 2

you could always measure the 36.30 in from the other lh gauge hole and figure it out but i like number 2

Well, it's in. The CL of the front suspension is parallel to the CL of the rear suspension and spaced at the factory wheel base, but I also used "Gauge Hole A" as yet another point to verify that everything was sitting where it should be.

This was an exercise in measure 50 time, make 1 cut, and then measure 50 more times.
