The 225/60 is going to be way too small on the front and it will not look like it belongs there.......and if the car needed to be lowered in the first place, it will make the fender to tire gap look silly.
Yes, That is my car. It is not just the "looks" but you can tell up front that it has a 70 side wall hight. It is a little wobly. I assume that with a 60 side wall hight, the tire in itself is way more stable when going into a tighter corner. The front end of the chassis is allready "stiffend" with a adjustable bar between the upper A-Arms ( i forgot what it is called) and solid stell motor mounts, what make the engine block act like a brace also.
The 66' in the Avatar had 215/70/15 BFG's on it.......it handled OK but when I had it aligned and urethane sway bar bushing installed.....it was a different car.
IMHO...if you stick a 225/60 on that car the way it is right now.....it is going to look silly.....it is just too small of a tire.
Why do you want a narrow tire on the front? Put as much rubber as possible under there like I did with my 69' 427/400 255/60/15 all the way around.....handled very well....and looked awesome....pics didn't do it justice.
[QUOTE=Dino_'72;1604337635]Some pics as requested. Not the best pic angles, but hopefully give you an idea. 245 on front. 255 on rear. No rubbing up front.
No front tire rub issues at all? Thanks, Beautiful car...
No. But it is an A/C car and the springs have probably weakened a bit since leaving the factory (50+ years ago). With Bilstein shocks, it rides smooth and solid.
