I'm going to be replacing my 20 year old BFG tires soon. I was thinking about repainting my factory rally wheels at the same time. I'm not looking for the correct Argent silver with the green tint that is correct for my 1970 just a nice durable silver that is available at any local Home Depot or Auto store.
Does anyone have a good recommendation on a brand or color that you have used that looks good?

Several years ago I painted mine with silver Dupli-Color high performance wheel coating.
It has lots of metallic flake in it & it's held up great. If I remember right I found it at Autozone.
I don't have a close up pic just this...
Eastwood had the right color for my 1968 C3 when I replaced all four rims. They offered a Silver and the Argent Silver, both are the same $13.99 a can and it takes several cans to do a set of four rims. I chose the Silver color paint for my rims and they have held up well. The rims look like new! I have been a big supporter of Eastwood as their products are Quality and on occasions they have good sales which really helps.
Have you had that checked? I would love to find the correct green tint.
I have seen it on another car while we were being judged, but mine
didn’t pass. I will be in touch with Eastwood. Thanks
I looked it up yesterday and they had the Argent Silver in stock for $13.99 for a spray can.
This might sound like a stupid question but where the Rally wheels on the early 1968's C3's Silver or Argent Silver? I am color blind and can't really see the difference in the two colors. What did the early 1968 C3's come with?
On my old rims I used the Rust-Oleum silver for many years and it worked great
I did some via blast off old paint and respray w/ hi-end aerosol & clear. In retrospect, They turned out great but I should've done what my gut told me; powdercoat.
I bought a can for each rim and then bought a spare "Just in case". I ended up using it all in the end. "Too little" paint is not good so be sure to have a bit extra in case you ever need to touch it up or just put another coat on the rims. I would buy 6 cans if I were going to do it again on new Black rims.
Thank you JBrook825 for the answer regarding the color changes for the rim paint! I am glad to hear that I painted them the correct color for the early 1968 Corvettes. Every once in a while I do something right by accident.....
