I pulled the transmission out of my 74 vette (45,000 miles on the clock) and noticed a mount around the rear of the gearbox has been attacked. As far as I can tell the engine and gear box have not been removed or disassembled before. Any comments or feedback please ?
It looks like either end of the mount has been torn off - not cut. But where it is bolted to the transmission is sound - the bolts aren’t bent or the bolt holes out of shape. And on one side of the mount (in the first photo) a piece has been roughly welded on.
so none of it looks like factory
Thanks for that - I think you’re right.
I dropped the exhaust off the car several months ago and obviously didn’t pay much attention at the time. It’s now got me thinking what has been changed with the exhaust??
thanks again
