C3 With Flares
Starting this to share pictures and thoughts with those that love flares on c3’s. This isn’t for the purists, just those like me that love a C3 with great looking flares and wheel/tire combos. If there’s enough interest we could make this a sticky so those considering flares could see the options and combos out there.

Both great examples of good looking flare and wheel combinations. Love the red transition stripe on yours, Ian240.

Little more finishing required... 2" Flares from Ecklers. Were on the car when I bought it in 1981 (resale red)

wheels
Thanks Holley bought out rocket by the way and what else is ne right ,I just ordered a set of the same wheels in the titanium but there 11 inch wide all 4 and will be 315 squared now I will have the wheels when I get them powder coated either bronze or gun metal gray on the inner part, the tires I went with this time is the falcon rt 660 315/30/18 I primarily use it for auto cross and the last thing I will be doing is replacing motor with a blue print 427 or 454 since I mostly auto cross the hp numbers should be more than enough to do the job and you get a 3 year 50.000 mile warranty and if I do not use one of those I would build a 434 out of a dart shp block with all the bad *** **** from scat and comp cams afr heads with a good reliable 600 hp car and around 570 torque but the cost would be around 10 grand versus blue print at 8.700 bucks and a warranty.

Love flared out C3s they were made for it. Crazy scoops, paint etc. This is a BATs thread no doubt!

Big front tires really work the power steering pump. I put a tranny cooler on the low pressure return side and my pumps last longer.
