Default Trying to find missing last Number??

Trying to find missing last Number??
Quadrajet # 17053292 was given to me awhile back by a club member that has since passed before I sent one to Lars for his magic..
Would like to sell it but when posted I've been told that the last number is missing!
Any clues as to available info can be found? Hoping that any and all QJet experts can chime inJJ78
I want to personally
thank Lars for his help in solving my question regarding the carb # on my Qjet..
I know this is not directly Corvette related but just want to see if any member knows of anyone that needs the following:

Carb is for a 1976 Chevy 1/2-ton truck with 350 & manual transmission.
Also thanks all that respond to my post....................Happy New Year to all
JJ78

8 digits looks right. https://www.chevyhardcore.com/tech-s...ication-guide/
the dates are confusing. 17053292. 1705 says 76 thru 79. but the 3 says 83. 2 says non-cali carb. the 9 is confusing. the last 2 says auto trans. i am sure Lars will have a better breakdown of these numbers. but i don't think any number missing. this is a 7 or 8 digit number.

The Rochester Service Bulletin Parts Index does not recognize 17053292 as being a good carb number. Echlin Carburetor parts also does not recognize that as a valid carb number. Are you sure you're not looking at a casting number rather than the carb number? The number is not missing a digit - it's simply not valid. Are you sure the 5th digit is a "3"? That's the number that does not make sense. Are you sure you're not misreading a lightly-stamped "6," "8" or "9"?

the other wonky number is the last number. 9 isn't listed.

There are quite a few carb numbers that end in "9," and many marine carbs and SR carbs have a "9" as the second-to-the-last number. But there are none that end in "-292," and no "170-series" carbs with a "3" as the 5th digit... (unless this is a 1980's truck carb, for which I show no listings in my data).
