I have an interior vacuum leak I can hear inside the passenger compartment. Are there kits put together for sale? I know some of you guys are internet ninjas, whereas I'm fumbling to make this post....lol@me. I want to have the replacement lines before diagnosis begins. Waiting for parts to be delivered is agony while the car is down.
Any suggestions or links or anecdotes welcomed.
Thanks!
(This is just the beginning of the pre fix to eventually get the Crossfire Injection operating correctly)
The AC definitely is inoperative, the heat does work, but not everywhere, and also the blower speeds only work on the first few, high speed does not work for the fan. I am aware these are all separate issues.
The car is in storage for the next fee months. I'm trying to get an idea where to begin when it comes out of storage.
Other than the switch, what else could cause an audible vacuum leak?
a broken line. a cracked T-fitting. a hose nipple broken off of the actuator for a vent. too many things to start buying stuff ahead of time. a guy i worked for fixed broken vacuum outlets from the heater switch with the inside piece from a ball point pen , a drill, and crazy glue. most likely it is a hose that the end split or stretchednand it popped off. cut a little off the end and reattach it. i promise you this car will give you lots of stuff to spend money on. you don't need to go looking for it.

All of above.
I just went through all my HVAC system less than a week ago. Getting everything working properly as I am just about finished with my Air-Con upgrade.
I had replaced the vacuum switch back about 20 years ago.
The then new switch took quite a bit of monkeying around with to get it to work properly. I did succeed with lubing the rubber disk with Vaseline and getting the tension of the assembly just right. 20 years on and it's still working correctly.
prepare to pull your passenger side lower dash panel, console and center gauge cluster out to access everything.
Ordering parts ahead of time sounds like a waste. could be you can repair a leaky switch. could be a line off. could be a ruptured diaphragm in one of the actuators. Could be a leaky hot water shut off switch, Could be ....................
